Who are we and what do we do?

Who are we? As members of the Child Care Advisory Commission of Nashua our goal is to support all efforts to provide quality child care services to the children of the greater Nashua area.

As a mayoral appointed City group, our mission is as follows:

"The objective of the Child Care Advisory Commission of Nashua is to advise the Office of Child Care Services with regard to child care needs in the City of Nashua, NH. Specifically, the Commission will support the position of the Child Care Services Coordinator by recommending public policy that will facilitate the development of quality, affordable child care programs in greater Nashua.

It is the Commission's responsibility to heighten public perception of child care as a professional, family support service and as an essential component of Nashua's economic vitality."

In short, we are most interested in helping groups of individuals, such as parents and providers, to feel supported. We hope to be a resource in the attainment of provider/consumer goals and the pursuit of quality. We hope to serve as an educational liaison so that all may be up-to-date on current happenings and issues in the field of child care, and be a voice to represent those who have concerns and/or needs.

How to contact us - Click here for a list of the current Commissioners with their contact information. Feel free to connect with us at any time. A liaison may be assigned to your program/area upon request and may be contacting you periodically to see how we can be of service to you. It is our hope that you will forward your e-mail address and/or fax number to Beth Todgham, Commission Chair or Christina Lister, Coordinator, at the numbers listed so that we can forward you items of interest in the field as they occur.

Thank you for your interest in supporting quality services for the children and families of greater Nashua!
